Burmese Oud Chips
Often grouped with “Hindi-style” ouds in the trade, since Burma borders India and shares similar agarwood chemistry. Expect the deepest, most animalic profile of the three: dark, leathery, barnyard, with medicinal and tobacco undertones. Some describe a faint fecal or “dirty” note in the opening that settles into something warm and resinous. Smoke is heavy, slow-building, and long-lasting — this is the oud for someone who wants intensity over subtlety.
