Yellow Rose
The first day of spring in India is known as Vasant Panchami and everyone wears yellow. People all over India make special effort to begin any new venture on this auspicious day. Additionally it is a day for Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, and to commemorate new beginnings and knowledge, children are introduced to writing for the first time. Not only are the people wearing yellow but fields of mustard bloom yellow across north India. Yellow flowers and decorations adorn temples and deities across the whole country. People go door to door bringing foodstuffs to their neighbours as an offering to celebrate springtime.
This blend gives that same mood, a bright yellow rose for beginnings and fresh starts. Lighting it will evoke memories of springtime with a fresh, sunny, floral scent.
